I think is 2 week no class already so i felt like this.

Exam coming soon, i was really worried about it,

because some subject we need put more effort by ourselves.

Question 8: What are the impacts of globalization on the Net?

Internet globalization is fundamentally what the internet accomplished when the World Wide Web joint people from all over the world with information technology through computer networks. Globalization is global system that consisted by all religious, racial, societies, economic and culture. All people over the world have an advance technology which is global network to make communication, trade, and even refer to economic globalization. Globalization makes people connection that also can make people in trouble.

The positive impact of globalization on the net is that an interaction system. Interaction is systems that can directly affect one kind of particle has on another, in inducing the release or assimilation of one particle by another and make connection. Communication technology has revolutionized our information systems. International people can use internet to share their culture and language in online communication system such as facebook, twitter and blogspot. Therefore, the people in other country can gain the knowledge with the particular country culture and their life style.

Furthermore, internet globalization is free trade and open markets. Most businesses in America are small business. However with internet globalization of data, these small businesses can work on the same level with larger businesses. It is because internet globalization provides an equalizing feature with small businesses relationship to bigger businesses. It also puts them on the equal front position competing in the economy on a much larger scale. (Hubpages, 2010)

On the other hand, that also have negative impact of globalization on the net which is the percentage of the crime will increase. Internet is a global system that makes all the people interaction. However, when some bad people start to think something negative such as the way to steal, raping, and kill. They might teach their international friends how to steal people thing with easy way by record it as a video and share on internet. Foreign country might learn the way of steal and do the crime at other country that will impact the crime rate.

Besides the crime, people also can use some jargon or short form word in internet. It is because, users are using internet to express their feeling as short as possible like V (“we”), 4 (“for”) and LOL (“ laughing out loud”). When use the short form over the time that will set as their habit therefore that will impact of globalization use the jargon and short form while doing essay and writing report.

Moreover, the internet has made the distribution of pornography easier. It used to be that someone wanting to view pornography had to leave their home but now only a mouse click away. Children see pornography at a much younger age than just a decade ago. The average age of first internet exposure to pornography is 11 years old. Therefore, nowadays children’s thinking is more mature and open minded than previously children although in the same age. (Probe, 2006)

In nutshell, as internet intelligent users, that must be use it in right way therefore the negative impact will getting drop, users can make more friends interaction and gain more knowledge due to the global system-internet.

Question 7: Should journalists be free from constraints and law in order to ensure that their articles are objective and fair?

We agree that Malaysia's journalists be free from constraints and law in order to ensure that articles are objective and fair. Malaysia associated democracy few years ago, but there is some politicians prohibit press to report some sensitive issues. And now, INTERNET is free for people, no privacy from the INTERNET. Journalists can free hand writing some issues and topics about politics and society.

When journalists duty as reporter, they have limited to writing on newspaper. As we know that journalists in Malaysia is following the rule of theory social responsibility. It means that journalist should serve public but at the mean time government also have a free space to control and as a watchdog. So in Malaysia, journalists are suppose to follow their code in order to do the report.

1. Respect for truth and for the right of the public to truth is the first duty of the journalist.

2. In pursuance of this duty he will defend the twin principles: freedom in the honest collection and publication of news; and the right of fair comment and criticism.

3. The journalist reports only in accordance with the facts of which he knows the origin. He will not suppress essential information or falsity documents.

4. He will use only fair methods to obtain news, photographs and documents.

5. Any published information which is found to be harmfully inaccurate he will do his utmost to rectify.

6. He will observe professional secret regarding the source of information obtained in confidence.

7. He recognises in professional matters, the jurisdiction of his colleagues only; he excludes every kind of interference by governments or others. (Nujstar,2010)

Although journalists should follow the code of ethics when they are doing reporting, but when they are writing an article, they have the right to write out what they want to express which is fair and objective. For example, most of the journalists are free hand writing articles through the INTERNET, and then the content is about expressing their feeling after they doing reporting. In the content, mostly is criticize the government, discuss the issues. Despite how ironic the words, the government still have no capability to arrest those journalists, that is because in the INTERNET, some of it is no privacy on it, everyone can access in, and then the government has less right to control it that is because web is through over the world.

As a conclusion, media is controlling by government, although there is shout democracy. But when you read through the newspaper, journalists are constraints by those law and government. However, there is another platform which is build for them which is INTERNET, journalists can post their articles on it and show his or her reader to read through and understand those news's source and the reporter's feeling. By the way, when they doing reporting, journalists must follow their codes in case when the trouble is exist in.

We agree that ‘Criminals are drawn the internet because the cloak of cyberspace is virtually impenetrable’. Cyberspace is the electronic medium of computer networks, in which online communication takes place. The study shows that a complex and sophisticated criminal economy has developed to take benefit of on Web vulnerabilities.

In Russia, China, Brazil and the Ukraine real cyber crime mafias have now take over. Cyber crime mafias goals are purely economic gain, this is underscoring that hacking could be highly lucrative. As a result, in 2006 only a small percentage of attackers employed camouflaging techniques but this number soared to 80 percent during the first half of 2007. The end of the 2007 reached nearly 100 percent. This result can make people believes that the criminal element will contribute to a proliferation of attacks in next few year. ( Physorg,2006)

The internet is an attractive place for criminals to focus attention because it existing unique opportunities features to protect their identity, make sure successful achievement of the offence and to facilitate an escape if necessary. Criminals normally hide their actual identity and position by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating through unknown free email accounts and mobile phones.

According to Quarantiello : “Criminals are drawn to the internet because the cloak of cyberspace is virtually impenetrable and gives a sense of safety.” This is because no any physical evidence in online, criminals will feel more safety compare to cheat people in reality. Victims are difficult to find out the criminals in real world and to find any evidence to prove criminal had cheated their money. It is possible might be find out but low chance. We didn’t know what are the criminal’s background and real identity in this real world. .

A clever criminal will ensure that the victim and the internet servers involved are all in divide countries. It is because different countries will not hand evidence over. Criminals generally keep the crimes small and move the elements of it around so if they are convicted it is of a very small crime.

By trawling websites, bulletin boards and chat rooms cyber criminals can infiltrate a user’s system and steal potential targets IDs and passwords or obtain private information like National Identification numbers and credit card information. As a conclusion, Mr Day also said that cybercrime is no longer in its infancy, it is big business. For all user should be careful than before to make sure they are not target of the criminal especially is teenagers so teenagers should have wisdom to identify what is wrong and what is correct. Internet is a worldwide system that can interconnect with other computer networks and use online communication system to make interaction with other. Besides that, Internet makes connection such as business, government agencies, educational institution, and individual purposes. In the other hand, the internet is a place where hate groups come to inhabit while doing something bad. What is hate group? Hate group defined as a number of people that have a same goal with loathe and classified together in the internet. That may practices hate, hostility and violence towards racial, sexual, religious, and gender. Why hate group will inhabit in internet?

The first reason is internet is the easiest platform and channel to express their feeling. Internet is a multifunction system that can connect international users with same interest. When people have some unsatisfied toward a group, they will use online communication system such as facebook to create a group to anti them. That is a way that can express their feeling. In internet world, create a hate group is better than real world. It is because, internet is a fantasy world and the hate group leader can invite other international users to join their group and become bigger and bigger. In real world, the hate group leader can invite limited number of people who are in their state only they are not having international member. Besides that, in real world that will easily to make crime with other group and happen conflict or war in reality. Therefore, the internet is a place where hate groups come to inhabit.

Furthermore, internet is a powerful system that allow hate group to speak out their dissatisfaction through internet. The hate group have express their feeling with using hate speech, that mean there use extreme language against an individual or a group in order to use indirectly way to speak out their dissatisfaction.

In addition, hate group is created to attract toward other group feeling. When one of the members in hate group is writing some hate speech in their wall page, not only the writer want to take responsible but it is the whole group member’ s responsible. It is because, nobody will recognize who is the writer, but is recognize a whole group therefore, a group is share bliss, have difficulty also responsible it.

For example, a group of people is dissatisfied with those people who religious are Hindu. Those people will not directly to make conflict and voice up their opinion in real world, they can create a group to anti those religious Hindu and use indirectly way to express their feeling. In this case, every member has the power to speak and it is whole group responsible. The investigator is not easy to investigate the leader of the group. Therefore, Internet is an indirectly platform to let that hate group voice out their dissatisfaction.

In nutshell, internet is a place where hate groups come to inhabit. Internet is their suitable platform to voice out their feeling compare to real conflict. Therefore, internet is a suitable way to let them inhabit.

Question 2: Should parents allow children under age of 12 to go on the Internet without adult supervisor? Discuss.

Internet is become more and more popular in this few years. Most of the children below 12 years old also start to be in touch with internet such as, online games, Facebook and etc. But it is internet suitable for those kids who are haven’t saneness? Nowadays internet becomes more universal in the world. Everywhere also got internet connection all around the world. This trend are also influence the children.

Having internet connection become a requisites of a family. But should parents allow children under age of 12 to go on the internet without adult supervisor also become a big question of social. The children who under age of 12, their thinking still haven’t mature. Internet is a platform that can let users get much information. Allow children to surf the internet without restrictions, where they can be targeted by dangerous adults or unsuitable websites.

Parents should not allow children under age of 12 to go on the internet without adult supervisor. Some kids with a knack for the technical (writing code or manipulating software) might fall in with the wrong group and start doing what they think is harmless of simply mischievous hacking or other activities that might put them at risk of violating the law. (Tough, 2010)

For the children, everything they will feel curious and exotically. Therefore, they are easily influence by the porn site advertisement. When their mind is not mature, this will be a very dangerous and terrible thing when they bring into contact with the pornography. Children are not mature enough to handle such material and distinguish between what they see in pornography and reality. Claude Rozier, the head of a study commissioned by the French government reported, “Hardcore porn has become the principal vehicle for quite young children’s understanding of everything to do with love and sexuality, sometimes their only point of reference.”

Children need to be protected from pornography on the Internet. Currently, pornographers may push their porn to anyone who uses a computer, and as a result, the Internet has become unsafe for children, families, and schools. Parents should be beside their children when children are access internet. Busy is not a good excuse, the future of the children are the most important. Parents should not give loose to the pornography to spoil the pure mind of kids.

If parents can’t always beside their children every time when the children using internet. Parents must educate their children about these risks. One of the most important things children need to understand is that they are not as anonymous as they would like to think they are when on the web. They can also easily trick a young person into thinking they are also a teenager. Your children need to know that if anyone makes them uncomfortable by pushing for more information or by making inappropriate comments that they should take down as much information about the user as possible for their parents to follow up on.

Virtual communication is a group of people sharing the same interests, feeling and ideas through the Internet or other collaborative networks. It define as social aggregations that emerge from the Internet when enough people carry on public discussions long enough and with sufficient human feeling to form webs of personal relationships in cyberspace. ( Techtarget, 2006)

In the virtual world, everyone have freedom to do their things they like. And there is no privacy too in the Internet. They can chat with their friends, shopping, paying the fees through Internet, writing Blog to express their feeling, playing on line game with friends and others. So, despite they have freedom and no privacy, the impacts of virtual communication in dynamics and structures of real life community exist in.

First of all, you can save much more time when you want to spread out your message to all of your friends, colleges. For example, a course rap is deciding to tell his whole class that tomorrow's class has been cancel. He just need to on his or her status, or, send email to his or her course mates. He can save the time and cost to SMS, calling his or her course mates.

Besides that, virtual communication can bring families or friends together across distances. Everyone can feel their distance is near if they keep contacting each other. Virtual communication includes those tools like MSN, SKYPE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER and others. They can use these tools to add new friends, chat with them, to contact old friends, discussing some business and others.

There are also have disadvantages of virtual communication in the dynamics and structure of real life community. Hackers can hack people's mail account, and then to do some criminal case and framed to the account owner. And, some people like to use MSN, SKYPE and these kinds of tools to add new friends to fulfill their lonely needs in their heart space. Although they have a long period with a stranger to have a chat, but they don't know who is the guy is, and yet, it may contain a risk to get to know a criminal.

Nowadays, everyone has a FACEBOOK account, some of the people like to post some statement. Those statements include the earth disaster is coming soon, some health viruses is spreading out, those new make-up or skin care products are the new. E-shopping is a new trend on the web, it is convenience to the buyers and sellers, and girls like to use a lot of money to spend on their skin care products, no matter the ingredients is including of what, they are just buy it and use it! After using these products, some of the people feel itchy or what. It is because the product is fake. And then sellers and buyers have been cheated.

As a conclusion, compare to virtual communication and real life, people are needed to understand that what is virtual communication and what is real life. And no addicted into the virtual world!
